68 Year Old Mother Gives Birth To Twins!
Margaret Adenuga, 68 years old, and her husband Noah Adenuga, 77 years old, of Lagos, Nigeria, just welcomed their first children, boy & girl twins!
Margaret and Noah were married in 1974, and never gave up on their lifelong dream of having a child. They underwent 3 unsuccessful IVF procedures before their 4th cycle granted their lifelong dream.
The twins were delivered successfully at 37 weeks without complications via Cesarean section last Tuesday at Lagos University Teaching Hospital. The hospital delayed releasing the story until yesterday to give Mom and babies time to recuperate.
It is truly fitting that this story should be released this week, right in the middle of National Infertility Week. One out of every eight couples struggles to conceive a family.
Adenuga was quoted saying, "I am a dreamer, and I was convinced this particular dream of ours will come to pass." We offer our most heartfelt congratulations to the Adenuga family, and wish them health & happiness on their little miracles!
